Bringing decades of telecoms expertise, Daisuke Morikawa has served in various roles at KDDI since joining in 1998, including 18 years within the company’s R&D sector focusing on 3G efficiency improvements and value-added ubiquitous services and leading cross-departmental projects like 3G femto, 4G data and VoLTE launch for KDDI’s Mobile Technical Planning Division. From 2016-19, he conducted the modernization of the 4G Radio and Core Network with nationwide coverage as CTO of Mobicom, Mongolia. In 2020, he joined KDDI Digital Life, the subsidiary of KDDI, to explore the "digital telco" domain. He holds a Master of Engineering for Kyoto University in Japan.
