Mr. BP Singh is a Senior Executive Vice President at Reliance Jio since July 2015. He is responsible for setting up and steering the operations of DevOps, Cloud Platform, Hyper Scale Cloud [Public and Private] and Cloud Business organization for Jio Platforms Limited. He has been instrumental in transforming the Jio IT business into a Next Generation organization, operating on the first principles of AI.

With 30+ years of experience in the IT software industry, BP has managed the complete lifecycle of research, software development, operations, system integration for large IT/business deliveries, including creating new business opportunities. One of his primary achievements has been in the setting up and building of IT applications/infrastructure at Jio to acquire 100mn customers in 170 days. This is a rare record for the Telecom Industry.

BP has also built a model for Next Generation AI, based on open-source technologies, which provides every single piece of information around every aspect of IT management to create a competitive advantage for the business. In this novel model, he used artificial intelligence and machine-learning to self-heal events and predict uncertain events that may have otherwise caused business disruption.

BP has conceptualized the end-to-end architecture of the Hybrid Cloud Management platform, which is a unique solution across the globe. It allows enterprise users to manage every aspect of software and infrastructure across public and private cloud platforms.

Before joining Jio, BP had a long stint of 12 years at IBM as an executive and the Account Leader for Vodafone India’s IT delivery. During his time at IBM, he developed expertise in handling large-scale clients, managing large teams, handling sizeable IT budgets and driving profit-based improvements for big IT service deliveries. He was also a certified Technology Leader at IBM (STSM).

BP’s academic credentials include Engineering graduation in Electronics and Telecommunication from IIT, Roorkee; Management graduation from FMS, Delhi University; and Post Graduation in Artificial Intelligence from ISB, Hyderabad. He specializes in Technology Operations and Management via AI.

BP is passionate about learning new technologies and putting them to real use for solving complex problems. He also likes to play sports, especially Cricket and Tennis.
